We believe social inclusion and being a part of your community, especially if you are blind or partially sighted, is key to living a healthy and enriched life.
We offer the Blatchington Friends service under our Outreach Support programme, which aims to prevent social isolation for people with sight loss under the age of 30 throughout Sussex.
The role of a Blatchington Friend is to provide support to people with sight loss within their local community, helping them to attend, engage and socialize at events, activities and any other form of leisure.
We take great care and consideration when pairing Friends with individuals by identifying the hobbies and interests of both parties, as well as ensuring that all additional needs are met.
We are proud that this service has proven to be highly valuable and extremely successful. If you feel that you may benefit from our Blatchington Friends service, or you would like to become a Friend, please contact us for more information.
We are here to help, so if you, or somebody you care for is blind or partially sighted, under the age of 30 and lives in Sussex, register online now.Register
